Senior Digital Designer, Full-Time

Reader's Digest Association seeks a dedicated Senior Digital Designer to join our highly talented team reporting to the Manager of Creative Development. Working with our Promotions team and Ecommerce Marketing, the Senior Digital Designer will be responsible for collaborating with our creative team to ideate, create and develop marketing campaigns, email promotions, digital ad units, brand ads for Taste of Home, The Family Handyman, Reader’s Digest and more. Ideal candidate should have digital brand promotion experience, love of graphic design, typography, digital design with a good knowledge of copywriting ideas and print promotions. The candidate must be organized and able to prioritize, manage projects across all digital efforts plus be able to articulate and pitch innovative design ideas. This person should also possess an ability to function as one’s own production person, executing clean, coded, ready-to-publish layouts. Technical expertise of Adobe CS, HTML, CSS as well as typography and good foundation of graphic design. Responsible for preparation of copy for garden-, birds- and nostalgia-related direct-market books, plus Taste of Home titles and other projects as produced by the Books Department. Includes selecting, writing and/or editing material, editing layouts and general coordination of all aspects of a project from conception through premedia-ready pages. Includes writing introductory copy, editing contributors’ copy, developing cover concepts, establishing chapters and working closely with art directors, layout designers and members of the teams from the photo procurement team, production, copy desk and book marketing areas.

Readers Digest Association is looking for Culinary Specialists to join its Live Cooking School team. This freelance position will report to the Program & Field Manager, working closely with other cross-functional team members. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of recipe methodology combined with stage presence to engage audiences upwards of 1,000 attendees.  The Culinary Specialist is responsible for promoting, managing and conducting approximately 40 Taste of Home Cooking School demonstrations during the course of a calendar year, and serving as brand ambassador for Taste of Home to media, national sponsors and the consumer.
