For more than 90 years, The Reader’s Digest Association, Inc. has been a leader in Corporate Responsibility. From volunteer programs that help employees enrich their communities, to strategic giving through the Reader’s Digest Foundation, RDA has sustained its commitment to the communities in which it operates.
RDA Cares is a community service program that engages employees in volunteerism and helps them connect with their communities. Workplace volunteer initiatives, and on-line resources that support individual efforts, work in concert to help RDA employees maximize their community involvement. Programs operate at all U.S. locations and are open to all U.S.-based RDA employees.
Workplace volunteer initiatives are led by local RDA Cares Committees, teams of dedicated employees who plan and implement projects. National signature programs include a spring Day of Caring, a Back-to-School with RDA initiative each summer, and a Holiday Helping Hands drive at year-end.
On-line resources allow employees to find individual volunteer opportunities in their local communities, and share the volunteer projects that resonate with them.

Matching Gifts and Volunteer Incentive Programs provide financial support to the qualified non-profit organizations that RDA employees support with their time and resources.
Reader’s Digest Foundation
Founded in 1938 by RDA’s founders, Lila Acheson Wallace and DeWitt Wallace, Reader’s Digest Foundation is an independent grant-making organization funded by the company.
